Day by Day Itinerary
Full Day: Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, and Chinchero
We start the day by picking you up from your hotel around 7:30 AM. We drive over the mountains into the Sacred Valley, making a quick stop at the Taray viewpoint for a spectacular panoramic photo of the valley. Our first major stop is the Pisac archaeological site, where your guide will explain the history of its massive agricultural terraces and ancient cemetery. We then visit the colorful traditional Pisac market. Continuing our journey along the Urubamba River, we arrive in the town of Urubamba to enjoy a hearty buffet lunch featuring local Andean cuisine. After lunch, we explore the awe-inspiring fortress and Temple of the Sun in Ollantaytambo. On our way back to Cusco, we visit the village of Chinchero to see its colonial church, Incan walls, and a demonstration of traditional textile weaving.
