Q'eswachaka Inca Bridge - 1D
Expedition Overview
Experience living Inca history by visiting Q'eswachaka, the last remaining hand-woven Inca rope bridge in the world. Suspended 30 meters above the Apurimac River, this incredible feat of engineering is entirely made from braided 'Ichu' (a local Andean grass). Every year, four local Quechua communities come together in a centuries-old tradition to cut down the old bridge and weave a completely new one over three days. The tour also includes a scenic drive through the breathtaking Route of the Four Lagoons (Pomacanchi, Acopia, Asnaqocha, and Pampamarca).
