Day by Day Itinerary

1

Day 1: Cusco – Soraypampa – Humantay Lake – Salkantaypampa

Your luxury journey begins with a private drive from Cusco to Soraypampa (3,800m). Upon arrival, our team will have a beautifully presented breakfast waiting for you. We begin our hike with a short ascent to the stunning, turquoise Humantay Lake. Afterward, we continue hiking gently to Salkantaypampa, where our chef will serve a gourmet lunch directly facing the Salkantay glacier. We then hike up to our first exclusive campsite at Soyrococha (4,400m). Upon arrival, enjoy a hot shower, a 45-minute private massage, and a fine dining experience paired with excellent wines. β€’ Trekking Distance: 10 km / 6.2 miles β€’ Estimated Time: 6 hours β€’ Starting Altitude: 3,800m / 12,467ft β€’ Campsite Altitude: 4,400m / 14,435ft

Day 2: Soyrococha – Salkantay Pass – Colpapampa

Wake up to coffee or tea served in your tent. Today, we conquer the Salkantay Pass (4,650m). Because we camped higher than most groups, the ascent to the pass is short (about 1 hour). At the summit, celebrate with champagne as you take in the spectacular views of Mt. Salkantay. We then begin a long descent, transitioning from the harsh, rocky alpine environment into the warm, lush cloud forest. We arrive at our second luxury campsite in Colpapampa (3,100m) in the afternoon, where your massage therapist and an exquisite dinner await. β€’ Trekking Distance: 16 km / 9.9 miles β€’ Estimated Time: 7-8 hours β€’ Highest Altitude: 4,650m / 15,255ft β€’ Campsite Altitude: 3,100m / 10,170ft

3

Day 3: Colpapampa – Lucmabamba – Exclusive Coffee Experience

Following breakfast, we embark on a gentle hike through the Santa Teresa valley. The trail is lined with wild orchids, passion fruit vines, and banana plantations. We arrive at our final luxury campsite in Lucmabamba (2,000m) in time for a spectacular Pachamanca lunchβ€”a traditional Peruvian earth oven cooking method. In the afternoon, enjoy an exclusive coffee tour on a private farm, where you will harvest, roast, and grind your own organic coffee. The evening concludes with massages and a farewell dinner with your trekking team. β€’ Trekking Distance: 14 km / 8.7 miles β€’ Estimated Time: 5 hours β€’ Highest Altitude: 3,100m / 10,170ft β€’ Campsite Altitude: 2,000m / 6,561ft

4

Day 4: Lucmabamba – Llactapata – HidroelΓ©ctrica – Aguas Calientes

We hike uphill along a beautifully preserved section of the original Inca Trail until we reach the Llactapata ruins (2,700m). From here, you are treated to a unique, distant view of Machu Picchu across the valley. After taking in the views, we descend to HidroelΓ©ctrica, where we enjoy our final lunch prepared by our chef. Instead of walking, we take a short train ride to Aguas Calientes. You will check into your luxury hotel (Sumaq or Inkaterra) to enjoy a hot bath, relax, and dine at the hotel's award-winning restaurant. β€’ Trekking Distance: 12 km / 7.4 miles β€’ Estimated Time: 6 hours β€’ Highest Altitude: 2,700m / 8,858ft β€’ Aguas Calientes Altitude: 2,040m / 6,692ft

Day 5: Machu Picchu Sanctuary – Hiram Bingham Train – Cusco

We take an early bus up to Machu Picchu. Your private guide will lead you on an exclusive, immersive 3-hour walking tour of the citadel, explaining the rich history and architecture. After exploring the ruins, we head just outside the gates to the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge for a spectacular 5-star buffet lunch. In the late afternoon, we return to Aguas Calientes and board the luxurious Hiram Bingham train. Enjoy live music, cocktails, and a gourmet dinner on board as you travel back to Poroy, where our private driver will transfer you to your hotel in Cusco. β€’ Trekking Distance: Exploration of Machu Picchu β€’ Estimated Time: 3 hours guided tour β€’ Machu Picchu Altitude: 2,400m / 7,874ft β€’ Return to Cusco: Evening via Hiram Bingham
