Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: The Sacred Valley's Best & Fine Dining at MIL
Your private guide and chauffeur will pick you up at 7:00 AM in a luxury vehicle. Our first stop is the traditional village of Chinchero to witness a private demonstration of ancient textile weaving by local artisans. We then continue to the mesmerizing circular terraces of Moray. Right next to these ruins, you will be treated to a spectacular, multi-course gastronomic experience at MIL Centro, a restaurant famous for elevating high-altitude Andean ingredients. After lunch, we visit the stunning, geometric salt pools of Maras. In the late afternoon, we transfer you to the Ollantaytambo train station where you will board the Vistadome Observatory train. Enjoy panoramic views of the cloud forest as you ride to Aguas Calientes. Day 2: The Lost City & The Hiram Bingham Train
After a luxurious breakfast at your hotel, your private guide will escort you to the VIP bus line for the 30-minute ride up the mountain. You will enter the gates of Machu Picchu just as the morning mist begins to clear. Enjoy a comprehensive, unhurried 2.5 to 3-hour private tour of the citadel, visiting the most significant spiritual and architectural sectors. After exploring, you will step just outside the gates for an exquisite buffet lunch at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel located directly at the ruins. In the late afternoon, we return to Aguas Calientes. The absolute pinnacle of the trip awaits as you board the Belmond Hiram Bingham Train for the journey back to Cusco. Dressed in 1920s Pullman style, you will be treated to welcome cocktails, live Peruvian music in the bar car, and a multi-course gourmet dinner paired with fine wines.
